It was written to a group of Jewish Christians who were facing persecution and tempted to revert to Judaism. The central theme of Hebrews is the superiority of Christ, highlighting His role as the ultimate high priest and the fulfillment of the Old Testament law and promises. The book encourages us to remain in faith and persevere because Christ is faithful.
